This week Andrew Ritschel, president of Electronic Office Systems in Fairfield, NJ, shares what’s hot and what’s not in his market. EOS sellsRicoh, Savin, Lanier, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, HP, and Canon devices, and also offers MPS, content management systems, and network infrastructure.
What’s hot?
Ritschel: There’s nothing that’s exceptionally doing well one thing versus another. Anything we’re selling, we’re doing well, but there’s no rhyme or reason for one thing or another that we’re doing well with. It’s not like we’re doing well with MPS or color or printer sales or A4, it’s anything we sell, we’ve done well. It’s not like there’s momentum in any aspect of the business. I just see whatever we can sell that we can match with the customer’s needs and wants, and beat the competition we’ve done well.
What’s not?
Ritschel: Nothing I can say that people are rejecting in the marketplace right now. You have to speak about everything, you have to offer everything, and hopefully you will have something that you can sell to the client. We still want to be a sales, service, and supply company, a for profit company, and not a public service, that’s what we strive to be.
