Opportunities to Grow and Learn Spark Coast to Coast Difference Maker Michael Oransky

Michael Oransky

One of the greatest fears a salesperson can have is getting a request for a product that he/she hasn’t handled before. Michael Oransky knows how that feels—from security cameras to tablets, laptops and access systems, he’s often found himself in foreign territory when a client has a novel request. Since the word “no” is verboten in the world of sales, special orders are the signal for Oransky to mobilize. And learn.

“Each instance was a turning point, pushing me to learn more about those solutions and realize they were opportunities to expand my horizons,” said Oransky, a 2024 ENX Magazine Difference Maker. “These experiences not only broadened my expertise but also highlighted the importance of being adaptable and proactive in meeting client needs.”

A senior account executive and tech team lead for Coast to Coast Computer Products, Oransky feels his core strengths are his focus on collaboration and education for both clients and colleagues. He seeks to “strive to demystify technology” and secure growth opportunities that can provide win-win scenarios for all.

Solving his clients’ complex technology riddles is extremely gratifying for Oransky. “Seeing the tangible impact of my solutions on their success motivates me daily,” he said. “I’m driven by continuous learning and the opportunity to make technology accessible and valuable to every customer.”

Technology was woven into the fabric of Oransky’s life from a young age, as his family owned a computer store. Those early years were critical in igniting a passion for technology and customer care. From his first sale at age 19 through two decades of plying his craft in the office technology space, Oransky couldn’t imagine a career doing anything else. He has his father’s guidance to thank, in part, for his professional attitude.

“Watching him blend expertise with genuine care for customers taught me that success isn’t just about sales—it’s about trust, relationships and always delivering value,” Oransky said.

Building Blocks

One of 2024’s biggest highlights for Oransky was being named Coast to Coast’s Cross-Selling Ambassador. He facilitated his team’s diversification into tech sales, and the measurable growth in gross profits proved to be rewarding.

Continuing to serve as a mentor for his team will be a goal for Oransky as the calendar flips over to 2025, as is pushing for innovation in the solutions offered by Coast to Coast Computer Products. Keeping abreast of industry trends is also a priority.

Other building blocks, such as maintaining a curious nature and staying on top of educational opportunities, will also enable Oransky to find his better self. It also entails forging stronger connections with vendors, OEMs and clients.

“Further empowering my team to embrace complex sales will keep raising the bar,” he said.

On the home front, Oransky and his wife enjoy joint activities including cooking, running and hiking. The Oranskys also enjoy hitting the road and visiting interesting cities and scenic destinations.

“We often find ourselves in the mountains, forests or other natural areas, as it’s a good way to keep balance when working with technology every day,” he added.
