What do you think the office imaging industry will look like in another 10 years as far as the players and the movers and shakers?
I ask that after reading about the LMI’s latest acquisition (Check out the interview with LMI President Gary Willert in this week’s edition.) and after attending the Konica Minolta press and analyst event in New York City where it was noted that acquisitions remain a key element of Konica Minolta’s growth strategy, not to mention, or to mention, The Week in Imaging’s recent merger with ENX magazine.
While we’re on that topic, in the next few weeks you’ll see TWII’s newsletter merge with ENX’s newsletter. If you’re on the distribution list for both newsletters, you’ll receive one combined newsletter per week rather than an average of six per month. The last thing we want to do is inundate your inbox. Once the merging of the two newsletters is complete, you’ll see a merging of TWII and ENX Websites. The wheels for all of this are in motion now with some turning faster than others.
It’s an exciting time in the imaging industry and for those of us who have been around for awhile, we’ve witnessed many mergers and acquisitions over the years, some big, some small, some good, some less so. Although not always smooth, acquisitions and mergers are inevitable and what keeps the industry growing and moving forward.
Who’s next?
Thanks for reading.
