Between the Lines: Calling All Elite Dealers

EliteDealer 2014I’m finally ready to answer those dealers who have been asking me about when I’m going to be posting the Elite Dealer nomination form on The Week in Imaging Website. The time is now. Just click on the logo on the right hand side of the site or the logo that illustrates this column and you’re there.

I’ll be accepting nomination forms through Friday Sept. 12, 2014. That’s a long lead time, but over the years I’ve discovered that long lead times are a good thing. Even the longest lead time is never long enough and it’s inevitable that I get the occasional request for an extension.

This year I’ve added a couple of new questions to the form. I work from an honor system and trust that the information dealers provide is accurate as decisions are often based on that information. Plus this year I’m enlisting the aid of some colleagues from the industry whose opinions I respect to assist me in making the final selections. As in past years, those honored will represent not only the big dealers, but small and midsize dealers as well.

The thing is you’ve got to be in it to win it. That means you need to spend about 20 minutes or so to fill in the nomination form. You’re welcome to take more time if necessary and also provide me with supporting information. Every year there’s dozens of deserving dealers who we contact asking them to participate. Some ignore my requests while others may be too busy to find time to fill in the nomination form even when they’re recommended by their vendors. Incidentally, I take vendor recommendations seriously.

Those honored will be profiled throughout the month of October in The Week in Imaging.
