This is always an exciting time of year at The Week in Imaging as we announce the year’s Elite Dealers. We’re going to unveil a new group each week throughout the month of October with the final group presented in the Nov. 1 edition.
I’ve had a voice in selecting the Elite Dealers going back to when they were first presented by Office Dealer magazine in 1988. Back then there were many more independent dealerships to select from, and in those days the selections included many traditional office products and office furniture dealers as well. We all know what happened between then and now to both the office technology and office products and office furniture industries. Today, virtually all of the nominations are from office technology/imaging imaging dealers, which is perfectly aligned with the focus of The Week in Imaging.
As I point out every year, the Elite Dealer awards don’t just honor the biggest dealers in the industry or the ones with the highest revenues although you’ll find plenty of those among our winners; this is a celebration of dealers of all sizes from multi-million dealerships to small rural dealers, all of whom are valued members of the dealer community. We celebrate these dealers for their innovation, perseverance , company work culture, unique programs, strong leadership, and community involvement. As I say every year, it’s not any one quality that makes an Elite Dealer it’s a combination of qualities that enable these dealers to stand out.
If your dealership didn’t make the cut this year or would like to be considered next year, make sure you’ve signed up to receive our weekly e-mail blasts. We start soliciting nominations in May and complete the process by mid September.
