Schaumburg, IL (March 17, 2025) — Not too many companies offer a trip to a Dominican Republic beach resort among the “perks” of working there.
But that’s exactly what Pulse Technology, a technology company serving the IT, managed print services and other needs of businesses throughout the Midwest and beyond, just did. Recently, a number of the company’s top-performing employees were rewarded for their 2024 contributions with a weeklong getaway trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, at the Secrets Royal Beach Resort.

Located on over 700 yards of a palm-studded white sand beach along the Caribbean Sea, this resort is known for it beach and calm waters.
The trip is the latest example of the company’s President’s Club, which provides incentive vacations every year. Last year, some of the Pulse team vacationed in Hawaii, and the year before that, Cancun, Mexico. Other destinations have included Florida and California.
This year’s Pulse Technology President’s Club recipients included Edgar Williams, service technician; Jolee Allerding, senior project designer; Jill Westberg, promotional/marketing; Matt Leake, furniture sales executive; Andy Nielsen, business analyst; Brett Hill, delivery driver; Steve Zamiar, service technician; Vince Miceli, VP of technology; Kerri Joshua, dispatcher; Pete Grebener, install technician; and Tim Walsh, service technician.
Nielsen, Pulse Technology’s business analyst, noted “It was a wonderful trip. The resort was top-notch. We had a couple of group dinners together and also did a dune buggy excursion as a group. It was amazing.
“It really shows how much Pulse cares about and appreciates their employees. Companies just don’t do trips like this anymore. I’ve been with Pulse for 25 years, so this seems normal to me. But when you talk to people outside our group, and tell them you’re in Punta Cana on a company trip, with 20 other people, nobody can believe it.”
Vince Miceli, vice president of technology, said, “Our President’s Club trip was an unforgettable experience, and I couldn’t be prouder of everyone who earned their place on this exclusive getaway. This trip was a celebration of the hard work, dedication, and excellence that our top performers bring to the company every day. Their commitment to success continues to drive our growth, and I’m already looking forward to seeing who will join us next year.
Pulse Technology has been named to the Best Places to Work in Illinois for four consecutive years. The awards program, which began in 2006, is sponsored by HR Source Chicago and conducted by The Daily Herald Business Ledger and Best Companies Group.
