Fairfield, NJ (Feb. 25, 2025) — Kyocera Document Solutions America, Inc., one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, is pleased to announce that the solar power generation system installed at the Hirakata (Osaka) and Tamaki (Mie) Plants in Japan is now fully activated.
It is estimated that the installation of this photovoltaic power generation system can supply approximately 1.9GWh of electricity annually at both plants, covering approximately 11% of the electricity used. This is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 860 tons (equivalent to 61,714 trees*) per year. Kyocera has been installing solar power generation systems at its headquarters in the United States and its Vietnam Plant. Promoting renewable energy adoption underscores our commitment to driving economic growth while safeguarding the environment.

The Kyocera Group has established long-term environmental targets to address climate change. Specifically, the company aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 46% from the fiscal 2019 levels by the fiscal 2030. In addition, all Kyocera Group companies are working to achieve carbon neutrality by fiscal year 2050, which will reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 0.
