Rockland, MA (April 5, 2022) — Bay Copy, the region’s leading provider of digital document solutions for businesses and organizations, today honored Vice President of Sales Sharon Mutrie, a 35-year veteran of the company, as she prepares to retire.
Ray Belanger, CEO of Bay Copy, recalled that she had been recognized by national trade publication ENX Magazine as a “Difference Maker” in 2021, an award bestowed upon industry leaders who excel at what they do.
“That’s a really appropriate description of Sharon’s career here,” Belanger said. “She has made a huge difference in the growth of Bay Copy and has been one of our greatest ambassadors both inside the company and outside in the community.”
He credited Mutrie with playing a key role in winning a five-year contract for managed print services with one of the state’s larger regional health care facilities. Mutrie oversaw the sale and the on-site installations of 500 units, which included rigid safety protocols because the work occurred during the COVID-19 outbreak.
“Sharon understands our business through and through and is very skilled at anticipating, understanding and responding to customers’ needs,” Belanger said. “It’s one of the reasons she is consistently such a top performer.”
Mutrie has been with Bay Copy for nearly 35 years, beginning her career as a sales trainee. She has been promoted numerous times over the years. With her extensive knowledge of sales/sales management, she has been recognized repeatedly at a national level as the top in her industry.
“It’s been an honor to be a part of the Bay Copy team and work with so many great clients,” Mutrie said. “I am leaving an amazing team and I am confident they will continue on in the same great tradition.”
She has a strong passion of giving back to the community in many areas such as education, housing and nutrition. She has served as president of the board of South Shore Habitat of Humanity in Weymouth, Massachusetts, and is the former chair of the board of directors for Fontbonne Academy in Milton, Massachusetts. She has also served in many various roles for the South Shore Chamber of Commerce located in Rockland, Massachusetts, on their Women Business Network and Athena Program.
Mutrie is an avid golfer, a previous powerlifting champion, and includes sky diving on her list of accomplishments.
The Bridgewater, Massachusetts, resident received a degree in criminal psychology from the University of Maine. She is a daughter of an Air Force Officer and has either lived in or been through every state except for Hawaii and Alaska.
“Sharon is a big part of the history of our company, having come to us when Bay Copy was only 15 years old,” Belanger noted. “As sorry as we are to see her go, and we will miss her greatly, we wish her all the best in retirement and are profoundly grateful for her loyalty, contribution and friendship. She has been a tremendous partner through these years, and we all look forward to staying in touch in the months and years ahead.”
