Melville, NJ (Aug. 26, 2020) — Canon U.S.A. Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, is excited to announce key enhancements to the cloud version of uniFLOW with the release of uniFLOW Online 2020.2. The new version adds Cloud Filing Assist to the Cloud Image Processing Device License.
Cloud Filing Assist is designed to help organizations streamline scan processes and help increase user productivity. The filing and indexing functionality provided by this update is further enhanced when combined with the powerful document scanning capabilities available with the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX Series models, such as fast scan speeds of up to 270 pages per minute, a quiet document feeder, and the ability to scan irregular size and mixed-size paper.
Together, uniFLOW Online 2020.2 and imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX series can provide customers with time-saving document processing and automation features along with outstanding scanning hardware to help accelerate their digital transition.
Key new unifLOW Online 2020.2 capabilities include:
Scan Center for automatic filing and indexing – Scan Center provides a central place for automatic filing, indexing, and routing to supported cloud destinations, helping organizations streamline scan processes and increase user productivity, while also reducing the chance for manual errors.
Filing Assist – Automated batch scanning – As pre-configured scan workflows are great for scanning batches of repetitive documents and operation records (e.g. orders, invoices, pick lists and delivery notes), this enhancement allows a large batch of documents to be scanned quickly and efficiently. uniFLOW Online 2020.2 can detect different file types, split each batch and use the unique text-block OCR to create the document title or populate metadata. The user then only has to validate pre-populated data once complete.
My Filing Assist – Self-service scanning – This feature is outstanding for ad-hoc scanning of single, one-off documents for individual users. After scanning the document, users can choose the scan destination; target folder and file format once back at his or her desk by selecting one or multiple OCR blocks before the document is sent to its destination.
In addition to Cloud Filing Assist, uniFLOW Online 2020.2 also adds the accounting benefits provided by cost centers. This capability, similar to that which is already available with the server-based version of uniFLOW, allows users to assign their print, scan or copy charges per job. After authenticating, users can simply select the appropriate cost center directly at the device user interface to assign costs and choose default cost center settings.
Availability
For new customers, the uniFLOW ONE device-based subscription is available to order today through Canon authorized dealers. Customers that already have uniFLOW Online will have uniFLOW Online 2020.2 available to them automatically via an update on the cloud.
