Melville, NY (March 24, 2020) — In celebration of Women’s History Month, Canon U.S.A. will be highlighting several of our female business leaders across our talented internal employees, strong dealer channels and loyal customer base.
LDI Color ToolBox is one of the largest independent office equipment dealers in the country, and this past October, Canon congratulated one of its leading, independent partner for their 20th year in business. One particular influential female leader on the LDI team that has been a key in its success is Rebecca Blaine, director of marketing.
Rebecca has worked in the print business for 18+ years, and throughout this time, she has served as a key witness to the evolution of women in this industry. From a young age, Rebecca’s father always reminded her that women and men were equals—even if it meant trying out for the boys’ soccer team when there was not a girls’ team, which she did! She also gives a special thanks to her company LDI for always representing women positively and encouraging female leadership.
When asked what advice she has for younger women looking to break into business roles, Rebecca says, “Always try to surround yourself with people who you can constantly learn from not just inside your company but outside your company as well. Women are known to be lifelong learners which is a unique quality we bring to the workplace. Expanding your network outside your company and building strong relationships are key.”
Rebecca thanked Canon for celebrating women empowerment and leadership in business as part of Women’s History Month stating, “As one of the most admired companies, not just in our industry, but in the world, and one of LDI’s most valued and significant partners, it is encouraging for me that Canon places so much value on celebrating the achievements of women. I hope this encourages other corporations to also look critically at equality and opportunities for women.”
