Toshiba Extends Longstanding Relationship with AEG in New Multiyear, Multimillion-Dollar Agreement

Los Angeles and Lake Forest, CA (July 23, 2019) — Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. and AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, are extending their comprehensive partnership across several of AEG’s flagship assets in a multiyear, multimillion-dollar renewal agreement. The new deal, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, expands the organization’s overall relationship with Toshiba and increases the brand’s presence across some of AEG’s leading sports and entertainment assets.

As part of the deal, Toshiba remains a Founding Partner of STAPLES Center and the official digital signage and display provider of L.A. LIVE. Additionally, Toshiba becomes the official copier and multifunction printer provider of AEG, STAPLES Center, L.A. LIVE, the LA Kings, and select AEG Presents festivals. Toshiba will also become an official partner of the LA Galaxy, Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California and Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Toshiba and AEG are two of the leading brands in their respective industries. Building upon an already successful global relationship with AEG’s T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the Mercedes-Benz Arena and Mercedes Platz in Berlin, and The O2 in London, the extended agreement raises Toshiba’s visibility across AEG’s portfolio of marquee properties and underscores the long-term strategic alliance between both companies.

“We are very proud to further develop our longstanding global relationship with Toshiba, a best-in-class brand that values technology, excellence and partnership innovation just as much as we do,” said Nick Baker, COO of AEG Global Partnerships. “This partnership now expands across some of the most iconic assets in our portfolio and we look forward to making our venues, teams and live events even more state-of-the art with the help of their cutting-edge technology.”

The deal highlights Toshiba’s unique ability to both enhance the fan experience across sports and live entertainment as well as to support AEG’s expansive office operations. Toshiba supplies AEG venues with world-renowned technology from digital LED screens, to branded activations featuring video walls, interactive digital experiences and more. With this new agreement, spearheaded on the AEG side by Vice President of Global Partnerships Jon Werbeck, Toshiba will also provide its industry-leading e-STUDIO multifunction printers to AEG properties across the United States.

“Our longstanding relationship with AEG, a global leader in sports and entertainment, represents a powerful opportunity for Toshiba to feature our technology across some of the world’s most iconic entertainment venues, sports teams and live events,” said Bill Melo, chief marketing executive for Toshiba America Business Solutions. “We are proud that AEG has also selected us to help enhance office productivity and document security with our award-winning copiers and printers.”

As a founding partner, Toshiba will continue to receive premium indoor and outdoor signage in and around STAPLES Center, including LED rotation on the scoreboard during all publicly ticketed events, rotational exposure of the arena’s 110 and 10 freeway marquees prominent concourse signage, and digital exposure via a custom promotional video.

Toshiba will also engage sports fans at the venue through its relationship with the LA Kings and a variety of in-game elements and signage during all LA Kings regular season home games at STAPLES Center.

As AEG’s official supplier of multifunction printers and copiers, Toshiba’s innovative technology products will also help streamline document workflow and enhance business operations for thousands of employees across the company. Toshiba’s Elevate platform enables the personalization of Toshiba e-STUDIO systems by customizing the products’ user interface to address specific needs of AEG employees. Toshiba’s Elevate-customized MFPs enhance productivity and utility through the one-touch operation of both common and sophisticated tasks, as well as the simple integration of powerful workflow solutions and apps on a fully customized front panel.
