Tigerpaw Software Hires New Director of Development

Bellevue, NE (Jan. 28, 2019) — Tigerpaw Software, creator of the technology services industry’s first and most complete business automation platform, has named Chris Owen its new director of development.

“We are very picky about who joins our team and we were particularly careful when evaluating candidates for this role,” says Tigerpaw Chief Operating Officer Joel Vaslow. “Of the many candidates we considered, Chris offers the best combination of a people-first mentality, technical skills and leadership experience. He also has extensive experience leading teams in the development and deployment of a wide variety of technologies. We are very excited to have Chris join our team.”

Owen previously managed teams during his 11-year tenure at Gallup and 10-year service at Hayneedle. He has worked with ERP, EDI, WMS and BI application development teams. Owen has experience with Oracle applications, Oracle databases and coding in PL/SQL and Java.
At Tigerpaw, Owen will oversee an ever-growing team of 17 that includes developers, product analysts and quality assurance engineers. His first set of projects at Tigerpaw revolve around re-evaluating and bringing more transparency to the product release schedule, as well as three strategic goals: continuing the evolution of the current product, developing the next generation product and implementing integrations.

Owen says Tigerpaw appealed to him because of the chance to work on a new product with a talented team in a fun, tight-knit workplace culture.

“I really like developing people and helping them grow and get to where they want to be,” Owen says. “And I am excited about the off-the-wall atmosphere where we still get work done too.”
