Kansas City, MO (Feb. 9, 2018) — The Business Technology Association’s (BTA) 2018 Spring Break event, hosted by BTA Southeast, will be held March 15-16 at the Roosevelt in New Orleans, Louisiana. The hotel discount deadline is Feb. 20, so register today to reserve your room.
Open to office technology dealers from across the country, the event will feature: two keynote addresses led by Keith Lubner, channel enablement and acceleration expert at Channel Consulting Corp. and Channel EQ; three educational sessions led by industry leaders; two dealer panels focused on sales and service; time to network with peers and exhibiting sponsors, including during a welcoming reception and breaks; and a masquerade party and dinner in New Orleans’ historic French Quarter.
Spring Break will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 15, with a continental breakfast, followed by opening comments and the first educational session, “Automated Best Practices for Copier/MFP Dealers,” presented by Mike Kirkpatrick and Gary Lavin of CEO Juice. A break, giving attendees time to visit with peers and exhibiting sponsors, will follow. Breaks between sessions on both days will also give attendees additional networking time.
The sales dealer panel, “Millennial Superstars in Sales,” moderated by Kate Kingston, founder and president of Kingston Training Group, will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The panelists: Kyle Butler, solutions guru, Rite Technology, Tampa, Florida; Harris Eckstrom, imaging and IT consultant, Carolina Business Equipment Inc., Columbia, South Carolina; and Kendal Noonan, account executive, Toshiba Business Solutions, Southfield, Michigan. A break and lunch will follow the panel.
At 1:30 p.m., Lubner will present the first keynote address, “Fanatical Prospecting.” Following the keynote, a break and the second educational session, “Vertical Prospecting & Driving More Profitable Market Share,” presented by Kingston, will be held.
Following a break, the second dealer panel will begin at 4:45 p.m. The panel, “From Good to Great — Achieving Benchmarks in the Industry,” will be moderated by service management coach Ken Edmonds. The panelists: Cliff Davis, director of service, Capital Business Systems, Lincoln, NE; Ezra Ethridge, director of service and operations, Kelly Office Solutions, Winston-Salem, NC; David Schaeflein, director of service, Proven Business Systems, Tinley Park, IL; and Chip Turner, director of service and administration, Rite Technology, Tampa, FL.
A welcoming reception will be held from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m., followed by a masquerade party and dinner in New Orleans’ historic French Quarter from 7 to 9 p.m. The dress code for the party is casual and masquerade masks will be provided. Costumes and/or masks are optional, but prizes will be awarded to the best dressed.
The second day of Spring Break will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 16, with a continental breakfast, followed by opening comments and the final educational session, “Put the Carrot Where You Want Your Team to Go,” presented by Edmonds. A break will follow.
At 10:30 a.m., Lubner will present the second keynote, “Sales EQ.” Closing comments and exhibitor prize drawings will follow from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Dealers can also enter the BTA Events Sweepstakes during Spring Break.
