Cheyenne, WY (Dec. 20, 2017) — Green House Data, a national provider of cloud hosting, colocation, disaster recovery, and related managed IT services, today announced the acquisition of Assuritive, a Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) provider who had developed significant intellectual property around secure disaster recovery. The Assuritive customer list was largely comprised of brands in compliance-driven industries, like health care and financial services.
“We sought Assuritive’s IP around DRaaS because of the ability to lower the cost, improve the speed, and expand the capacity of DR deployments,” said Shawn Mills, President, Green House Data. “This puts us in an even better position to serve our customers across the US and internationally, while adding an additional layer of product sophistication and compliance.”
Green House Data expands Disaster Recovery with Assuritive acquisitionAssuritive was founded by a team of technology entrepreneurs with backgrounds in large-scale SaaS deployments, Replication as a Service (RaaS), and software product development who saw a market opportunity to engineer a DRaaS offering around compliancy. Key features include instant point-in-time recovery, and testing of upgrades in a replicated environment prior to production deployment.
“DRaaS has long been one of our fastest growing product categories,” said Mills. “The addition of Assuritive’s proprietary solution to our portfolio puts us in a position to ensure our offering remains robust and competitive in this market.”
The acquisition is the third M&A activity this year for Green House Data, which expanded to Atlanta and Dallas after acquiring Cirracore in April of 2017, and launched into Denver after acquiring Ajubeo in November of 2017. In May, the company announced a 16M credit facility financed by Post Road group and an equity raise.
In addition to disaster recovery, Green House Data provides public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructure, colocation, and managed services including Security as a Service, cloud migration, system monitoring, network design, and more. The company has grown rapidly since its inception in 2007, increasing its data center footprint from a single facility to over 100,000 square feet of white space in eleven data centers across the United States. All Green House Data services include a 100% Service Level Agreement and compliance with HIPAA, SSAE 18 Type II, and PCI-DSS standards.
