Epson Unveils Revolutionary Replaceable Ink Pack System Enabling Hassle Free Business Printing

New Ink Delivery System Offers Exceptional ROI and Low Intervention with Uncompromised Print Quality

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Jan. 20, 2015 – Epson America, Inc., a leading provider of business imaging solutions, today announced the Replaceable Ink Pack System – an entirely new way for workgroups and SMB offices to approach color printing. Utilizing this unique design, Epson’s new WorkForce® Pro WF-R8590 and WF-R5690 multi-function printers and WF-R5190 printer deliver up to 75,000 printed pages1 in both black and color before the ink needs to be replaced. These printing solutions allow customers to print high impact color documents with low operating costs and invention rates.

The WorkForce Pro WF-R8590 multi-function printer is Epson’s fastest business color printing solution, featuring print speeds of 24 ISO ppm (black and color) †, an 1830-sheet maximum capacity supporting up to A3 (tabloid size) media, and includes ink supplies able to deliver up to 75,000 printed pages. The WorkForce Pro WF-R5690 multi-function printer and WF-R5190 printer deliver print speeds up to 20 ISO ppm (black and color) †, a 580-sheet capacity, and also includes the ink to print up to 50,000 before requiring replacement. The new WorkForce Pro Epson Introduces Replaceable Ink Pack System Printers Powered by PrecisionCore – Page 2 models feature Epson PrecisionCore™ technology, built-in connectivity features including Ethernet, USB, wireless b/g/n2 and Wi-Fi Direct®2 to easily print from tablets and smartphones2, and include remote printing and access to Cloud.

Additional features include IT tools such as remote setup and custom settings for multiple printers, and support for popular security protocols to protect confidential documents. The printers also support PCL3 and Adobe PostScript.

Availability

The WorkForce Pro WF-R8590, WF-R5690 multi-function printers and WF-R5190 printer will be available in Q1 2015 through select commercial channel partners. In addition, Epson will begin shipping its latest A3 business printing solutions, the WorkForce Pro WF-8590 and WF-8090 models, on Jan. 21.
