BTA Channel’s Choice Report Available for Download
July 17, 2014 – The Business Technology Association’s annual Channel’s Choice Report is now available for download on the BTA Website. Free to BTA members, the 119-page BTA Channel’s Choice Report offers a detailed look at the results of the Channel’s Choice balloting process and provides comparisons of how dealers rate the performance and support of each of the industry’s leading hardware vendors, as well as remanufactured cartridge vendors and third-party leasing companies.
Earlier this year, BTA mailed ballots to all of its dealer members and a number of dealers outside of its membership. The association also posted the ballot on the BTA website and encouraged the industry’s hardware vendors to provide their dealers with a link to the ballot for them to submit online. The ballot asked dealers to rate their primary and secondary line hardware vendors in key performance categories, as well as to rate vendors in the two additional categories — remanufactured cartridges and third-party leasing. The balloting results determined the Channel’s Choice award winners; the results are shared in detail within the report. BTA received 356 completed ballots.
“For anyone in the office technology industry with an interest in seeing how dealers rank the leading MFP manufacturers in such performance categories as corporate support, distribution and inventory, this is the industry’s premier report,” said BTA Executive Director Brent Hoskins. “The report is especially helpful to any dealer who is considering adding or switching to another MFP brand. The dealer is provided with a comprehensive look at how other dealers view each of the manufacturers — a primary consideration when seeking a new manufacturer to represent.”
The report, prepared for BTA by Industry Analysts Inc., based in Rochester, N.Y., is available for download at www.bta.org/ChannelsChoice (a member username and password is required to download the report). Previous years’ reports are also available for download from the BTA Website.
