This week David Scibetta, EVP/ CIO of Copier Fax Business Technologies in Buffalo, NY, shares what’s hot and what’s not at his dealership. Copier Fax sells Konica Minolta and has become known for their branded Documentelligence solutions sales strategy.
What’s hot?
Scibetta: Although it sounds antiquated, it’s our back file scanning department. It’s a natural progression to us for our industry. It’s a core business. We’re selling these MFPs that can scan. We’re selling mobile devices, and we’re selling document management. We’re very big with DocuWare. One of the things people always said to us, “This is cool, but what about all my banker boxes?” We’d say, “Here’s a scanner and you can scan them,” and people would say “We don’t have time for that.” Now we wrap this whole thing up in a lease, one payment, one throat to choke. There is so much paper out there.
What’s not?
Scibetta: I’d like to get more ramped up into the Managed Services. I believe that’s a space where we can really excel. I think it takes quite a bit to do it right; we don’t like to do things halfway because that’s how it fails.
