This week Mitch Taylor, sales manager for 4 Office Automation, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, shares what’s hot and what’s not in his market. 4 Office sells Kyocera and Lexmark hardware as well as solutions such as Pcounter, PaperCut, and Equitrac.
What’s hot?
Taylor: The Kyocera models tend to test well and people seem to like them. We also do very well with the Lexmark products—they’re reliable and work well. I really like the Lexmark A4 products. Those are indestructible and we have virtually no service calls [on them]. We just won the LCB (Liquor Control Board) of Ontario to put over 1,000 Lexmarks in.
What’s not?
Taylor: We hardly sell a black & white machine anymore. It’s all color. That’s because the price of the color is where the black & white machines were two or three years ago. Even our up and down the street business is all color now.
