It’s Not Too Early: Elite Dealer Noms Summon the Industry’s Finest

One glance at the temperature gauge on the trusty SUV revealed an inconvenient reality. It was 100 degrees and the humidity in the northeast is unofficially the most oppressive on the planet. Someone wrote that on a Facebook post, so it must be true. OK, so maybe it’s worse somewhere, but that’s not a contest anyone wants to win.

But as we ease into the back half of summer—with sweat and SPF-40 mixing to create an icky broth streaming down the back of your neck while seated on a beach chair at the shore—there are those of us who can hear the faint ringing of jingle bells. We see wintry landscape images, where the works of Monet and Renoir release a burst of arctic air that envelops the lungs, reinvigorates the senses and wakens the soul. Or something like that.

Yes, your calendar reads August, but we’ve got December on our minds. That’s because the annual ENX Magazine Elite Dealer issue is taking shape, and the deadline for submissions is a mere six weeks away. That’s right, 45ish days remain for you to nominate the industry’s crème de la crème and take your rightful place in the galaxy of industry stars.

Submit Your Elite Dealer Nomination Today

Look, we’re a world full of procrastinators, none more so than yours truly. And chances are, 40 days from now there will be a crush of panicked texts, phone calls and last-minute submissions. It’s human nature. But I’m here to hound gently remind you to take this opportunity, now that you’re thinking about it, to carve out 20 minutes and complete the form. That way, you’ll be done and can fuggedaboudit.

For those marketing people who just entered the office tech industry and are wondering “what’s an Elite Dealer?” here’s a quick primer. Each year, more than 100 dealers across the nation apply to garner a listing in the only who’s who guide to the industry. It matters not if your annual revenue is $4 million or $400 million; we don’t give anybody the big league treatment.

This list is an exclusive one. By our math, fewer than three dealers per state are represented (though the absence of resellers from Alaska and Hawaii throws it off a bit). Earning the Elite Dealer badge signals to the entire office tech community that you are among the best of the best. There’s value in that, and there’s even more value in the fact that it costs nothing to apply or appear.

Each Elite Dealer listing contains the company’s vital statistics—city/state, year founded, number of employees, top vendors/solutions/leasing partners, revenue, top growth segments and biggest accomplishment of the previous year. Add to that four bullet points that extol the company’s virtues, from acquisitions and major takedowns to awards won and charitable contributions.

The December issue, which includes a recap of the year from a news standpoint, is also a valuable tool for dealers, vendors, OEMs, managed service providers, leasing companies, VARs, distributors and other contributors to the office tech industry. It can lend itself to networking and possibly even partnership opportunities. Given how tightly-knit our office community is, Elite Dealers is the “Cheers” of industry publications, a place where everyone knows your name. Don’t hesitate, act now. We’ve got a bar stool with your name on it!
