Last fall I went to Fraser AIS’s customer appreciation dinner and prominently on display during the cocktail hour was 3-D printing technology along with sample output. Talk about conversation starters.
Fraser-AIS currently sits among the minority of office technology dealers selling 3-D printers and from the looks of things are doing alright. You can read all about it in Veronica Murillo’s article in this week’s issue. You’ll find some interesting insights about selling and marketing 3-D printing from a Fraser AIS perspective.
3-D printing is a topic that’s red hot. If you haven’t picked up on it already be prepared for a steady stream of 3-D printing articles here, there, and everywhere in the coming months. I just interviewed IDC’s Keith Kmetz for an article I’m writing about 3-D printing for the April issue of ENX magazine and he tells me that Google Alerts e-mails him 12-30 articles a day on 3-D printing, many with an angle of “Do you believe the hype?”
That’s a good question. Did you believe the hype on MPS? On Managed IT Services?
Well, why not?
Let the hype begin.
As if it hasn’t started already.
Thanks for reading.
