Because of the Thanksgiving holiday it’s a short week for many of us so I figured I should get this week’s issue out sooner rather than later.
As the year winds down along with my third year of publishing The Week in Imaging, this is an ideal time to give thanks to an industry that’s been a large part of my livelihood for the past 27 years. I imagine many of you are thankful for this industry as well no matter how long you’ve been a part of it. With that in mind, here are a few things I’m thankful for in 2013:
- The many positive comments and constructive criticism I hear from dealers, my peers in the industry, Website sponsors, and the solutions, services, and hardware providers that I write about throughout the year. That feedback is appreciated and shows that I’m on the right track or helps me change direction as necessary.
- The sponsors who support this publication and keep me involved in an industry that has become my home for all these many years.
- The manufacturers that invite me to their dealer meetings, which is an invaluable source of information and a wealth of networking opportunities.
- The dealers across the country who have become trusted and reliable sources for the many articles I write throughout the year, not only for this publication, but for the other industry publications where I am a contributor.
- The analyst and consulting community who I can always count on for their two cents whenever I need their much more knowledgeable perspective.
- And most of all, I’m thankful that The Week in Imaging continues to grow as does the excitement I feel as I begin my fourth year of publishing The Week in Imaging next month.
Thanks for reading and have a terrific Thanksgiving.
