I have a reputation for packing for business trips and vacations a week or more in advance. The strategy behind that is that the more I get done in advance, the less I have to do at the last minute. It’s a great strategy when it works, but I still obsess about under packing and end up unpacking everything the day before to make sure I’ve got everything I need. Maybe I’m not so far ahead of the game after all. I still make mistakes like the time I packed my significant other’s black pants instead of mine, discovering when I arrived at my destination and went to put them on that they were several sizes too small. Or packing my son’s clothes instead of mine, which is less of a problem now that we’re both the same size. Those are the kind of things that happen when you pack directly from the clean laundry basket rather dresser drawers or closets.
Anyway, I bring that all up because I’m looking ahead to Photizo’s Transform Global 2013, May 6-9, 2013 in Scottsdale, AZ. I attended last year in Orlando, and was impressed by the quality of many of the presentations, the opportunity to meet with various exhibitors, and the networking opportunities. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Transform conferences, and based on what I’ve read so far about this year’s event I’m going to see and hear a wealth of industry leaders, experts and analysts, end-user case studies, and channel success stories of transformation, that ought to be, at least in my estimation, worth the price of admission.
And in case you were wondering, yes, I’m all packed and ready to go.
