Thanks to everyone who joined our first Webinar this past Wednesday. It was great having you. I hope to do many more of these in the future.
I was reading The New York Times last week and came across this article, “In Hi-Tech Japan, the Fax Machine Rolls On.” You can find the article here.
I’ve never been to Japan, and can’t remember the last time I wrote about fax machines, but the headline intrigued me and I couldn’t resist reading. The only time fax comes up these days is when I’m talking to dealers about what’s hot and what’s not. Occasionally, one will laughingly tell me that fax is not hot. No kidding.
Then I read this article and if what I’m reading is true, the fax machine is still a hot item in Japan. TWII has a fair amount of Japanese readers and readers who work for Japanese companies, obviously, so this may not be news to them. But it was to me. Maybe I ought to start ramping up my fax coverage in The Week in Imaging. Then again, maybe not.
Finally, don’t forget I’d like to hear your recommendations for individuals to be included in TWII’s Top 40 Most Influential People in the Imaging Industry. These can be individuals who have made a significant contribution to their organizations and/or the industry as a whole. I’ll be presenting the Top 40 in May.
