As some of you may know I write for a number of publications besides The Week in Imaging. One of the joys of doing what I do is talking to dealers of all shapes and sizes across the country. As much as I love speaking with and appreciate the cooperation of the usual suspects, it’s always a pleasure to interview somebody I haven’t interviewed before. Those new connections tend to add so much to the many articles I write and are often the beginning of a long-term relationship. That’s why I’m often surprised when I get turned down for an interview as I was in a recent e-mail to a contact at one of last year’s Elite Dealers who told that no one could speak with me because they were recently acquired by Global Imaging and all interview requests have to be approved by Global so don’t bother contacting them for interviews. (I’m paraphrasing by the way.) This can’t be right, can it? It’s something I haven’t experienced before with other Global dealerships. Maybe something is going on that I don’t know about. Anyone know what’s going on or is it simply a miscommunication?
