…is for all those folks who I asked for a highlight of the year to e-mail me their highlight.
Why am I not surprised that I am still hunting down responses for the Highlights of the Year? I shouldn’t be that’s for sure. After all I write for so many different publications and should know by now that trying to schedule interviews and sometimes just getting simple information is not as easy as it sounds. It reminds me of the year I spent trying to move away from this industry and become a music agent and how difficult it was to get a return call or an e-mail response even from people I already knew even if it was just to say, “No.”
Anyway, the good news is I’ve got more highlights for you this week. The bad news is it’s not looking like I’m going to reach my goal of 52 before the end of the year. Lesson learned: Rather than starting the week before Thanksgiving with these requests I’m going to start January 1 and hope that by the 365th day of the year, I’ll have all 52 highlights of the year. Yes indeed, always a dreamer.
