Schaumburg, IL (May 8, 2024) — Pulse Technology, a technology company serving the IT, managed print services and other needs of businesses throughout the Midwest and beyond, has named Li Yopp of Glendale, Wisconsin, to the position of IT sales executive.
She will be based at the company’s Brookfield, WI location and will help develop new business for the company, working with clients to provide IT and cybersecurity solutions.
Working in the technology field is a position that Yopp relishes, but she says that the pandemic is actually what caused to shift career paths. With a degree from American Public University in Sports and Health Science, she was working as a personal trainer and was on her way toward becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy. When COVID regulations mandated the closing of many gyms and fitness centers, she sought a different career direction.
“Technology was big when everything went remote,” she said. She took a position in enterprise sales at a marketing technology company with a territory in the greater Chicago area. She worked with many large accounts. From there she went to a Madison, WI tech company as a senior business development person, specializing in cybersecurity solutions. Her experience in IT sales includes hospitals, hotel chains, and big box stores.
Yopp, a dedicated mother to her eight-year-old son Brayden, is also an avid enthusiast of outdoor activities. Yopp finds solace and joy in cycling, hiking, and strength training exercises. Beyond her personal endeavors, Yopp channels her passion for technology into advocacy efforts, particularly focusing on raising awareness within the Black and LGBTQ community.
Recognizing the importance of representation and inclusivity, Yopp extends her advocacy efforts to actively champion diversity and equity across various spheres. Her dedication to fostering a more inclusive society resonates through her unwavering commitment to amplifying voices and ensuring that all individuals feel seen and valued.”
She said, “A quote I live by is this one from Helen Keller: Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.”
Vince Miceli, vice president of technology, said, “We are very pleased to welcome Li to the Pulse family. Her background in tech sales throughout the region, coupled with her business experience should be of great benefit to the companies she will work with, as we continue to build out our presence in Wisconsin.”
