Schaumburg, IL, and Merrillville, IN (April 14, 2023) — Pulse Technology, a technology company serving the IT, managed print services and other needs of businesses throughout the Midwest and beyond, will host a “Networking For a Cause” event Wednesday, May 3, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at their corporate headquarters, 201 Commerce Drive, Schaumburg, in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Nicole Miceli, solutions specialist at Pulse Technology, is spearheading the networking and fundraising effort. She is a team member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Visionaries of the Year campaign, working to make the largest impact possible for the organization’s mission.
The fundraiser/networking event, she hopes, will raise a significant amount of money over the next several months to accomplish the goal.
For Nicole, and others in her family, this is personal. Nicole’s brothers Vince and William, both also part of the Pulse Technology team, each have been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Vince is in remission but William is still going through treatments.
“Sometimes lighting does strike twice, and unfortunately that is exactly what happened in our family,” she said. “This is why we’re hosting the “Networking For a Cause” event, to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We’re looking for a good turnout on the third! It will give people a chance to meet and network and also help to contribute to this important cause.”
Dedicated to curing leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood cancers, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), is the world’s largest voluntary (nonprofit) health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.
Since 1949, the LLS has invested nearly $1.6 billion in groundbreaking research, pioneering many of today’s most innovative approaches. The organization works tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics, and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients.
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
