Melville, NY (Feb. 23, 2022) — With the wealth of information available on the internet, Nevada nonprofit Magnusson Institute makes its mission to keep some of that available data private. The organization sends out information kits to help people secure their internet browsers in an effort to help prevent them from being tracked online. Magnusson Institute recently purchased Canon U.S.A., Inc.’s CX-G6400 4” Inkjet Card Printer, stating this piece of equipment has helped them meet their customers’ needs quickly and efficiently.
Magnusson says thanks to its new Canon printer, they are able to print hundreds of cards at a time to include in their customer kits. These cards contain detailed instructions on how to install Magnusson’s protection software on computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablets.
Ralph Strahan, vice president, community relations, Magnusson Institute, says in addition to the printer’s speed, the clarity of the prints are what really make a difference. The personalized cards include a series of QR codes, which according to Strahan are about as intricate as QR codes can get, and it is essential that they are easily legible and simple for customers to scan. Strahan says the CX-G6400 model prints the codes crystal clear, with every single card processed with outstanding quality.
Strahan says it’s a big help for Magnusson to have an in-house printer like the CX-G6400. He says the process of using the printer is not only a time saver, but by keeping the card production in house, it helps reduce the risk of private information falling into the wrong hands.
“The Canon card printer we purchased has been critical to the development and success of our product,” Strahan said. “There are two simple reasons: 1) Privacy. Since the printer is in-house it helps reduce the risk of exposure of internal documents to third-party vendors, and 2) Versatility. Having the printer in-house allows us to create the kit without the potential delays involved with outside vendors, while at the same time allowing for flexibility in production scheduling and quantities, if necessary.”
Canon U.S.A. Inc. is committed to helping businesses enhance their productivity by providing products that meet the latest market needs for ease of use, workflow efficiency, and security features.
