Springfield, MO (Sept. 20, 2021) — Pearson-Kelly Technology was named as one of the 2021 Biz 417’s Best Places to Work! This award aims to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in southwest Missouri, benefiting the region’s economy, workforce and businesses. Winners were evaluated and chosen by third-party partner Best Companies Group who managed the overall registration and survey process.
At the inaugural Best Places to Work Awards Ceremony on Sept. 8, Biz 417 magazine counted down the top 20 employers in our community. With more than 40 companies applying for the honor, Pearson-Kelly Technology is proud to rank fifth in Southwest Missouri, and take home the Best Team Spirit Award!
“Making the list itself is humbling; ranking fifth in our community felt great,” said Lee Flood, executive vice president for Pearson-Kelly Technology. “But the real prize for us is getting to work at PKT every single day. It’s a special place and we have some incredible employees. It’s exciting to see them honored for their work publicly.”
A Note from the Pearson-Kelly Leadership Team
We couldn’t be more proud of the group of people we get to work with every single day. They constantly inspire us to do more and work harder. This award is a true testament to their determination, tenacity and spirit.
It’s every leader’s dream to work with individuals who are as excited and driven as they are. We work hard to promote the right culture, hire the right people and foster the right relationships. We are honored to be named as one of southwest Missouri’s Top 20 Best Places to Work!
“Great culture isn’t about ping pong tables and popcorn machines. It starts with trust, respect and passion for company vision,” said Chelsey Bode, Pearson-Kelly Technology president. “It’s pretty cool to see what can be accomplished when everyone is working together and moving in the same direction.”
Companies from across the region entered the two-part process to determine Biz 417’s Best Places to Work. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.
“It’s great to see our team get rewarded for all of their hard work over the years,” Flood added. “This award just proves to all of them what I already knew…that we work with some of the best people around!”
