Schaumburg, IL (Feb. 15, 2021) — Pulse Technology, a technology company serving the IT, managed print services and other needs of businesses throughout the Midwest and beyond, has named Scott Anderson of Westmont, Illinois to the position of production print specialist.
Anderson, a 20-year veteran of the production print industry in the Greater Chicago area, will work to build the growing firm’s production print division, specializing in providing businesses and organizations with Sharp solutions that perform tasks beyond what traditional copiers and multi-function printers can traditionally handle in terms of volume and performance. This elite class of equipment can do high-volume quantities, run virtually nonstop, and generate full color documents including color bleeds which run to the edge of the image on regular and specialty stocks. This equipment class can allow businesses to keep in-house a number of jobs they would traditionally send out to a print shop.
“Recent advances in technology make this an attractive alternative for customers who rely a great deal on outside printing and are looking to cut costs,” said Anderson, “and another advantage is that the business gets more immediate control over the job.”
He added, “Particularly for small run full color jobs on unique stock, this option allows a business to put its best foot forward and produce top of the line documents economically.” This becomes a print-on-demand arm of many businesses.
The Minnesota native earned his Bachelor’s in Business, with a minor in Economics from the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining Pulse Technology, Anderson was a senior account executive for Sharp, and before that a production print specialist at Impact Networking. His professional experience has included time spent with many of the major industry brands including Canon, Konica Minolta, Ricoh and Sharp.
He has received many awards for being a “top manufacturing representative” with numerous dealers.
Anderson is an avid golfer and fisherman. And he is looking forward to May, when his daughter is expected to make him a grandfather with the birth of her twins.
Vince Miceli, vice president at Pulse Technology, said, “We are very pleased to welcome Scott to our team. We are excited about further expanding this important division in our company, production print, because we see an increasing demand for this service. This won’t necessarily replace the need for a business to use outside web printers but it will allow companies to bring a lot of the jobs in-house and control costs as well as timing. Scott has a strong level of experience in this arena and will be of tremendous assistance and value to our clients.”
