Salt Lake City (June 29, 2020) — Les Olson Company is very grateful to Mike Perfili, who has given a lifetime of service to our organization. He is retiring this week following a 48-year career with the company.
In 1972 at the age of 17, he was hired by Les himself, through a high school work-release program. Over the course of his 48-year career, Perfili has influenced many of his co-workers as a mentor and leader. Many at the company would tell you that his style and training is a big reason they have succeeded themselves. Perfili’s guiding philosophy for work was taught to him by Les: “People are important, treat them that way!”
A fun fact about Perfili: he has worked with four generations of LOC team members. His son and son-in-law have also joined him at Les Olson Company, and have filled key roles in the service and order processing departments. Brett Perfili, Mike’s son and a 20-year veteran of the company, recently thanked his father in a retirement message. The younger Perfili said, “the company has helped me provide a good life for my family and I’m grateful my dad helped me join the team.”
For the last 17 years, Perfili has played a pivotal role as the Northern Utah branch manager, overseeing two offices serving thousands of customers in the Northern Utah area. Our customers and our employees have loved working with him, and we are very grateful for what he has done for the company over the course of his career. Perfili’s retirement begins July 2.
Our best wishes go with Perfili as he moves on to the next phase of life. We appreciate all he has done and hope he enjoys his retirement. It has been an absolute honor to work alongside and learn from him. We all love Mike!
