Kansas City, MO (Aug. 6, 2019) — Dave Quint of Buckingham, Iowa, the 2015-16 national president of the Business Technology Association (BTA), died Aug. 1 at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa. He was 57.
Mr. Quint, who was named 2014 BTA Volunteer of the Year, was also active in the Copier Dealers Association. He was a member of the University of Northern Iowa Panther Scholarship Club, receiving the Volunteer of the Year award in 2011.
In May, he celebrated 30 years with Advanced Systems Inc., headquartered in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He served in many sales and supervisory roles until he was promoted to president/CEO in July 2012. Under his leadership, the company experienced tremendous growth. Mr. Quint was instrumental in relocating the company’s headquarters from Waterloo to a larger renovated location in Cedar Falls.
Survivors include his wife, Janice; two daughters, Kayla (Jamie) Myers of Waterloo and Ashley (Matt) Walters of Cedar Falls; and a granddaughter, Lucy Walters.

Mr. Quint was an avid Jimmy Buffett fan. He was a long-time trampoline judge, an active 3rd and 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and took pride in his garden, deer hunting and fishing.
Services were held earlier this week.
