New Windsor, NY (Jan. 31, 2019) — At the start of 2019, more than 2,000 customers from a wide variety of industries had opted for the company’s Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud model. Coupled with exponential growth in users and stored documents, DocuWare continues to lead the mid-market in cloud-based document management and workflow automation solutions.
The number of companies that chose DocuWare Cloud grew by 53 percent in 2018. DocuWare Cloud is now licensed by more than 100,000 users, up 100 percent from 2017. DocuWare Kinetic Solutions and New Cloud Partners Driving Cloud Growth in 2018
2018 saw the launch of two new programs that accelerated cloud growth. First, the DocuWare Cloud Partner program was piloted in Germany, helping the company acquire new partners focused on selling cloud technology exclusively.
Second, the launch of DocuWare Kinetic Solutions saw a surge of interest from the company’s established partner and customer base. DocuWare Kinetic Solutions are cloud-only, preconfigured solutions for invoice processing and employee management that cut implementation time and remove layers of onboarding complexity.
In 2019, the DocuWare Cloud Partner program will expand to the United States, and the company will release additional cloud-based, preconfigured solutions.
Max Ertl, co-president of DocuWare, sees a bright future with these initiatives. “More and more customers are recognizing the technical and financial advantages of the cloud. Our strategic initiatives ensure that customers seeking cloud solutions get exactly what they need to improve their core business processes.”
Betting on the Cloud at the Right Time
In 2012, DocuWare launched its first SaaS-driven public cloud solution, DocuWare Online. Today it is known as DocuWare Cloud and provides complete feature parity with the company‘s on-premises solution.
To deliver customers the best in worldwide availability, data security and scalability, DocuWare uses Microsoft Azure as the platform for DocuWare Cloud.
Dr. Michael Berger, co-president of DocuWare, laid the foundation for a true cloud system by introducing the web client eleven years ago. He believes the company’s strategy has been validated: “DocuWare continues to invest in the usability, security, flexibility and scalability of our cloud architecture. We see tremendous growth in small and mid-sized organizations, where business agility requires leaders to digitize and automate their office processes.”
