Kansas City, MO (Nov. 5, 2018) — On Dec. 6-7 at the Venetian Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Business Technology Association’s (BTA) West district will host its annual Capture the Magic event. The hotel discount deadline is Nov. 14, so register today to reserve your room.
Open to office technology dealers from across the country, the event will feature: a keynote address led by Dr. Coyte Cooper of Ollin Leadership; a featured educational session led by Mike Marusic, president and CEO of Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America; six additional educational sessions led by industry leaders; time to network with peers and exhibiting sponsors, including during a welcoming reception and breaks; and a Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn concert at Caesars Palace.
Capture the Magic will begin at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, with welcoming comments followed by the keynote address, “Four Habits to Radically Increase Productivity & Potential,” presented by Cooper and sponsored by Brother. This keynote will introduce four simple, impactful steps that proactive professionals can take to radically increase their productivity levels and overall potential. A break, giving attendees time to visit with peers and exhibiting sponsors, will follow. Breaks between sessions on both days will also give attendees additional networking time. From 5 to 6 p.m., Marusic will present his featured educational session, “Changing Our ‘Mental Models’ for Growth.” A cocktail reception will follow from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The second day of the conference will begin at 7 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, with breakfast, followed by opening comments and the first three educational sessions: “2018 Top Trends, Threats & Defenses,” led by BTA General Counsel Bob Goldberg; “Selling From the Inside Out,” led by Larry Coco of Coco Training & Coaching LLC; and “How to Deliver Ongoing Success With Periodic Business Reviews,” led by Laurie McLevish of Print Audit and the Managed Print Services Association (MPSA).
Lunch will be served from noon until 1 p.m., followed by the final three educational sessions: “Animals, Bacon & Craft Beer: The ABC’s of Creating a Winning Culture in the Modern Workplace,” led by James Foxall of Tigerpaw Software Inc.; “The Principles of Change Management: Lessons Learned on the Back of a Personal Water Craft,” led by Sally Brause of GreatAmerica Financial Services Corp.; and “Digital & Social Media ‘Quick-Start’ Tips for the Time-Strapped BTA Dealer,” led by Harry Hecht, business coach, industry advisor and consultant.
Closing comments and prize drawings will wrap up the conference from 4:15 until 4:30 p.m. That evening, attendees will travel to Caesars Palace for a 7:30 p.m. Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn concert. A limited number of concert tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
