Waukegan, IL (Aug. 6, 2018) — Midwest Copier Exchange, a division of the ARCOA Group, today announced the successful completion of its certification of ISO 9001:2015 for its corporate office and distribution center in Waukegan, IL.
ISO 9001:2015 is the most updated standard of its kind and focuses on quality management systems and performance. It assists companies in developing a management system that aligns quality with their wider business strategy. There is a focus on risk-based thinking and accountability in all organizational processes that help improve communications, efficiency, and implementation of continuous improvement.
“We are excited to become the first copier wholesaler to earn ISO 9001:2015 certification and feel it provides additional assurance to our customers that we are focused on continuous improvement, quality and customer satisfaction,” said founder and CEO, Ed Spriegel. “Our decision to become certified to ISO 9001:2015 demonstrates our desire to always perform at the highest levels of quality and efficiency. It’s essential to delivering innovative, high quality and customer-focused solutions to our customers.”
For any company, the road to certification requires time and commitment. Midwest began their internal preparation for certification in May of 2017, by evaluating their existing procedures and aligning them to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. In April, Perry Johnson Registrars performed a preliminary stage one audit and later in July conducted a comprehensive stage two audit. Midwest was notified of their achievement of the ISO 9001:2015 standard on Aug. 3.
Midwest Copier Exchange offers nationwide reverse logistics, asset management and remarketing solutions for off-lease copiers and printers serving manufacturers, leasing companies and copier dealers. Midwest has distribution facilities in Waukegan, IL and Albuquerque, NM.
