Cincinnati (May 3, 2017) — Donnellon McCarthy Enterprises (DME), a leading office technology solutions company, announces the acquisition of Columbus Office Solutions & Systems (COSS), an office systems provider in Columbus, Ohio, and a go-to-source for all your mailing needs.
Columbus Office Solutions & Systems has been in business for 12 years and is an authorized dealer with a focus on mailing systems, postage meters, folder inserters and digital copiers. The past year DME has had a strategic alliance with the company and made the decision to make COSS a part of DME.
Bill Sopher, former president of COSS, will be joining the DME team as the new vice president of mailing sales. He has an extensive background selling Neopost, Pitney Bowes and FP. Sopher holds several titles, including president of AIMED.
“I appreciate the opportunity to expand our FP mailing position at all DME branches and I look forward to the challenges, victories, and most of all, more victories. DME is positioned for robust growth while our competitors are declining in sales, local representations, and talent. The decision for the acquisition was easy after looking at the total talent DME brings to the market and potential growth. My dedication to the industry and my teams will not be matched in this industry,” said Sopher.
Rich Brandenburg, former senior vice president of Sales for COSS, will be joining the DME team in the same capacity. Brandenburg started his career in the industry in 2005 and has since led many key initiatives that lead to double-digit growth. He holds a proven record of success in leadership and team building.
“The acquisition of Columbus Office Solutions & Systems complements our overall goal to grow as an organization and expand into other strategic markets. This acquisition is exciting for DME and COSS, and even more so for our combined customers and employees as it further enhances our capabilities,” said Jim George, president of Donnellon McCarthy Enterprises.
The future for DME is growing with several acquisitions to finalize by the end of the year.
“We’re very excited for the acquisition of COSS and its team. The time is now for DME to be aggressive in our approach to growing our business. Many opportunities for continued growth are facing us with a tremendous upside,” said Jim Donnellon, CEO of Donnellon McCarthy Enterprises.
