New Windsor, NY (Oct. 24, 2017) — The DocuWare logo will be highly visible on the helmet, cap and headband of top athlete Lena Dürr during the FIS Ski World Cup season 2017/2018. In addition to slalom, the Germering-based ski star will be adding downhill as part of the alpine combined with a goal to reach the Olympics in 2018.
DocuWare, a provider of cloud solutions for document management and workflow automation, and Dürr have extended their partnership. During the upcoming World Cup season, the German skier will have DocuWare’s logo once again on her helmet, cap and headband. Thanks to numerous TV broadcasts of the races around the world, the company expects considerable brand exposure.
Olympic Ambition
For the first time, this slalom specialist will compete in Levi, Finland on November 1, 2017. On November 26, 2017, she will take on a slalom race in Killington, VA. Dürr will also participate in downhill races as part of the alpine combination for the first time to further her goal of qualifying for the Olympics in February 2018 in Pyeongchang, South Korea. She may also compete in the giant slalom category.
Dürr is very enthusiastic about the season. She hopes her partnership with DocuWare will inspire more young people from her hometown of Germering, Germany (also home to DocuWare’s headquarters) to embrace the sport of skiing. The athlete is very close to her community and visits her family often. “Since my father was also an accomplished ski racer, we spend a lot of time talking about the sport during my visits,” Dürr said.
Supporting the Fighting Spirit
Through sponsoring partnerships, DocuWare president Jürgen Biffar would like to support fighting spirits and those working hard to achieve true excellence – characteristics that are also embodied by DocuWare worldwide. Biffar believes sports play a vital role in balancing work and life. Since the end of 2013, DocuWare has provided a Health and Wellness Program that involves a variety of sports and activities for employees.
