Malvern, PA (March 7, 2017) – Ricoh USA, Inc. today announced that InfoSend, a California-based business process outsourcing provider, has purchased the RICOH Pro VC60000 next-generation continuous feed inkjet platform to reduce turnaround times and enhance capabilities. The RICOH Pro VC60000 will allow InfoSend to bring the production of complex applications in-house saving hundreds of thousands of dollars previously spent outsourcing applications such as marketing inserts.
InfoSend has provided the processing, printing, mailing and electronic presentment of critical documents for industries throughout the United States for more than 20 years. The company’s emphasis on using the latest technology to provide an innovative, flexible approach to meet customers’ needs led decision makers naturally to partnering with Ricoh. Ricoh’s consultative, customer-centric approach identified production outsourcing as a major source of spend for InfoSend, and Ricoh representatives worked closely with company decision makers to develop a plan to return some of that money in InfoSend’s bottom line.
“At InfoSend, we put a lot of emphasis on integrity, quality, turn times and efficiency to grow relationships with our client base,” said Russ Resai, president, InfoSend. “The RICOH Pro VC60000 helps us on each count. Now, we can produce 90-plus percent of our clients’ marketing inserts – a notoriously difficult medium – right here in-house. The cost savings from that alone are enormous, and the added bonus of collaborating with the Ricoh team to continuously build out our portfolio will ultimately help us to bring in even more business.”
The RICOH Pro VC60000 maintains its brilliant 1200 dpi resolution and high speeds even on media up to 250 gsm. This speed, quality and flexibility pairs with a wide array of available finishing options to empower customers to produce complex applications. That allows printers like InfoSend to offer a wider variety of services to their customers by producing customized campaigns that have the potential for higher retention and engagement. The platform’s industry-first drop-on-demand printheads leverage proprietary algorithms to intelligently vary the ink drop size across the page based on image area, which optimizes ink consumption while maximizing near-offset quality. With support for a wide selection of paper stocks, users and their customers have more freedom to choose the right medium to reach the right customer.
“InfoSend is extremely focused on maintaining and strengthening customer relationships,” said Phil Self, vice president of Production Print Solutions, Ricoh USA, Inc. “At Ricoh, we share those fundamental values and our professional services teams are committed to helping our clients strategically bring in the right technologies to help them deliver on their promises to customers. It’s this commitment that makes us confident that the RICOH Pro VC60000 will be a perfect fit.”
