PrintReleaf has partnered with the University of Colorado’s Masters of the Environment Program to facilitate Capstone Projects for its Masters students interested in working in the private sector to contribute to solutions to current global environmental problems.
The University of Colorado Masters of the Environment (CU-MENV) is a professional Master’s degree program that is administered by the Environmental Studies Program, but partners with units and disciplines across the Boulder campus including the Environmental Design Program, Colorado Law, the Leeds School of Business, and the Department of Economics, and organizations and institutions in the community. It is a 17-month, cohort-based, professional degree program designed for new and early career professionals. The program focuses on leadership, applications, and problem-solving and has five primary curricular components: (1) the core curriculum, (2) a choice of topical specializations that are supported by (3) skills and techniques courses, (4) electives, and (5) a Capstone project.
Through the Capstone project, select students will work with PrintReleaf, their reforestation partners, and SGS International to further refine and evolve the field audit process for quantifying forest density (biomass) in relation to paper consumption measured by the PrintReleaf Exchange [PRX] – the world’s first platform for automating measurement and reforestation of paper-based products.
