Rochester, NY (September 7, 2016) — In an effort to help direct mailers understand and prepare for the USPS regulatory changes coming next month, BCC Software is proud to announce an educational webinar titled, “Learn How to Rock Your Scorecard” on September 19 and 20, 2016.
Beginning October 1, 2016, the U.S. Postal Service will proceed with planned changes to the Mail Entry Roadmap, which will include postage assessments for poor address quality. The cumulative sum of these mistakes will be invoiced to mail submitters beginning November 1.
“The transition from sampled-based verification to census-based verification is a significant change for the entire mailing industry,” described BCC Software President Chris Lien. “BCC Software recognizes the significant impact these potential post-acceptance assessments will have on mail preparers and mail owners. Analyzing and understanding your mailer scorecard now is an essential defensive position to properly prepare for the mail acceptance changes that will take place soon, as well as a strategic offensive move to leverage best practices in address quality and mail preparation.”
During the hour-long educational webinar, attendees will:
- Learn what to expect come October regarding the new Mailer Scorecard assessments and invoices
- Hear from actual marketing service companies who are implementing best practices to ensure compliance
- Come away with actionable information that will not only protect but excel during these changing regulatory times
During both sessions, Chris will be joined by Steve Owens, general manager of DX Marketing, a Savannah, GA-based direct marketing firm. DX Marketing, a long-time BCC Software customer, maximizes results of best-in-class direct mail campaigns for its clients by using some of BCC Software’s advanced services. These services have DX Marketing already prepared for the upcoming changes from the USPS. Steve will explain how these practices benefit both DX Marketing and its clients.
The BCC Software customer exclusive session will be held Monday, September 19, at 2 p.m. EST. A second session for non-customers will be held the following day, Tuesday, September 20 at 1 p.m. EST.
