Donation from Continuum Veterans Foundation Helps Hire Heroes USA to Secure Record Number of Veterans in Civilian Jobs during Q1 2016

Continuum Veterans Foundation’s Continuous Support of Hire Heroes USA Contributes to 1,159 Veteran New Hires in Q1 2016

BOSTON – April 18, 2016 – Continuum Veterans Foundation, helping returning troops find jobs in the IT industry, has contributed to Hire Heroes USA, a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing individualized career coaching services to help veterans transform their military service into civilian success, confirming a record 1,159 veterans in civilian jobs, from January – March 2016. Continuum Veterans Foundation, established by Continuum Managed Services, donated $50,000 to the organization last November for the third straight year to support its mission. Since 2013, Hire Heroes USA has helped over 6,500 veterans confirm jobs with the support of Continuum Veterans Foundation.

“We are pleased to be able to contribute to the high, positive impact that Hire Heroes USA has on veterans across the U.S,” said Michael George, Chairman of the board of directors at Continuum Veterans Foundation and CEO at Continuum. “Clearly, they are doing all the right things to aid veterans in finding employment and we are proud to continue to support their efforts. We are excited to see how many new hires will be confirmed in Q2.”

During Q1 2016, Hire Heroes USA has:

• Helped 3,620 clients via online assessments
• Finalized 3,186 resumes
• Conducted 32,116 career counseling sessions

This is a significant increase over the same quarter last year with Hire Heroes USA revising 1,287 resumes, conducting 10,570 career counseling sessions and serving 1,582 veterans with online assessments and workshops during Q1 2015.

“Our research indicates that for every veteran we help to find a job, there is more than a $12,000 net economic impact,” said Nathan Smith, Hire Heroes USA Chief Operations Officer and a combat Marine veteran. “The ongoing support from Continuum Veterans Foundation of our veteran employment programs contributes to a collective effort to put more than $60 million in the pockets of veterans and back in the pockets of taxpayers. Hire Heroes USA is grateful to Continuum Veterans Foundation for their commitment to veteran employment.”

Donating over $150,000 since 2013 to Hire Heroes USA, the Continuum Veterans Foundation has helped Hire Heroes USA confirm employment for 1,968 veterans in 2014, 3,561 veterans in 2015 and is tracking to help a record number of veterans in 2016.
