Elk Grove Village company provides Westwood Elementary School and Woodstock North High School a Sharp AQUOS BOARD interactive display system, each valued at $10,000
Elk Grove Village, IL, September 21, 2015 – Des Plaines Office Equipment (www.dpoe.com), the Chicago area’s leading provider of document management solutions and related services, recently installed two Sharp Aquos Board interactive display systems at Westwood Elementary School and Woodstock North High School, both located in Woodstock, IL. The schools won the video boards, valued at $10,000 each, free of charge through a national competition hosted by Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation.
Des Plaines Office Equipment, as the Chicago area distributor of Sharp Imaging, handled the installations at each of the schools. The schools won the boards through a national contest sponsored by Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC), and their Tech-it-Up – the Sharp Classroom Technology Challenge. As part of the contest, Sharp awarded one K-12 U.S. accredited school a grand prize of $100,000 worth of Sharp branded products for their classrooms. In addition, 10 runner-up schools were awarded an AQUOS BOARD™ interactive display system, valued at over $10,000. Both Westwood Elementary School and Woodstock North High School were among the ten runner-up schools.
These two schools were selected from hundreds of entries for demonstrating how the school would integrate Sharp technology such as interactive whiteboards, professional display monitors and document systems (multifunctional copiers) to address student needs and create a more engaging learning experience.
