Digital Signage Influencers Tout LA Interactive Powered by Toshiba’s Dynamic Fan Engagement Elements, Vibrant Video Technology
Irvine, CA, August 25, 2015 – By coupling an array of fan engagement elements with vibrant video technology within its LA Interactive powered by Toshiba digital signage installation at STAPLES Center, Toshiba America Business Solutions was awarded the 2015 ICX Association Excellence Award in the entertainment category.
Located off the main concourse of the arena, LA Interactive features a 6- by 13-foot LED video wall, 8- by 5-foot Toshiba Ultra HD video wall, three 65-inch Toshiba Ultra HD displays and two 46-inch Toshiba Virtuoso interactive touch displays where fans can access Los Angeles Kings and Los Angeles Clippers team information such as photos, stats and video highlights. The fan engagement zone also features a 60-inch Toshiba “Touch & Get” interactive kiosk allowing for high-speed transfers of exclusive Kings and STAPLES Center content.
“LA Interactive provides an excellent customer experience while promoting the various events at STAPLES Center and appears to be very intuitive and easy for customers of any age group to use,” said Scott Slucher, executive director at ICX Association. “LAI is a unique fan engagement venue that is sure to promote brand loyalty and excitement.”
“STAPLES Center and AEG pride themselves on being an industry leader in technology and providing the best experience for our fans,” said STAPLES Center President, Lee Zeidman. “Partnering with an innovative and forward thinking company like Toshiba and creating LA Interactive on our main concourse has given our guests the opportunity to connect and engage with exclusive content.”
“When we first began collaborating with AEG’s marketing representatives, our team immediately understood their desire to demonstrably enhance the fan experience while building brand loyalty,” said Toshiba America Business Solutions Chief Marketing Executive, Bill Melo. “From ideation and continuing throughout the development process, we both envisioned creating a first-of-its kind interactive environment for all STAPLES Center patrons to enjoy. We are extremely proud of the end result and this acknowledgement from ICX is a wonderful testament to the work we’ve done.”
Toshiba began planning for the STAPLES Center project in July, 2014. The building of LA Interactive commenced upon AEG publicly announcing its partnership with Toshiba. In the ensuing two months, Toshiba – working collectively with STAPLES Center and its vendor partners – completed its unique fan zone. An official ribbon-cutting event signaling the opening of LA Interactive took place November 8, 2014, a day after the project was complete.
