New Windsor NY, April 28, 2015 – DocuWare, a global Document Management Solutions (DMS) specialist, has a new release, Version 6.7, that makes it even easier for customers to tackle their daily work with DocuWare. It’s also simple for new customers to quickly benefit from electronic document management with the help of well-organized user guides. And with additional features, it offers even more impressive power.
Whether On-Premise or in the Cloud – with DocuWare Version 6.7, web-based document management is more user-friendly than before. Since inception, DocuWare has focused its development energy on the user experience and meeting the daily needs of users. New users can quickly navigate the intuitive interface and can immediately profit from the main benefit of a DMS – to harness increasing amounts of information and make them manageable.
Besides optimizing their user interface, new capabilities to simplify daily workflows were added. For example, users can save time by taking important file properties such as name, date, size and extension and importing them with a single click as index terms when storing a document. Another time-saver: the ability to search through multiple file cabinets simultaneously so that related documents can be clearly visible in a single result list. The search can also be stored making it convenient when repeatedly conducting the same search. There is also a new display option in the Web Client as well. When a document is opened – whether to view or store – the DocuWare viewer opens with an integrated index dialog. That way the document containing the index term is visible at the same time.
In addition, DocuWare has accelerated the display of folders and documents in its Windows Explorer Client with the help of multi-step loading, also called “lazy loading.” This displays documents – even when searching in large archives – without having to wait.
Lastly, the module Connect to Ricoh has been enhanced. With Version 2, over 250 Ricoh scanners and comparable multi-function printers can be connected to DocuWare. It’s simple to store documents directly from the unit by using select lists incorporated in the display.
