Sales and Marketing Executive Tasked with Expanding Company’s Thermal Barcode Printer and Toner Sales
IRVINE, Calif. (Dec. 2, 2014) —Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. today announces the promotion of content management industry veteran Tom Walter to the position of vice president of distribution and aftermarket sales.
The 25-year sales and marketing executive will expand his current responsibility of managing the day-to-day operations of the company’s aftermarket products. In his new position, Walter is tasked with enhancing Toshiba’s footprint within the thermal barcode printer segment and increasing toner sales by introducing more distribution partners and programs.
Walter will also continue his role as a key driver of the company’s green initiatives. His focus in this post is to create programs leveraging Toshiba’s portfolio of eco-oriented products – which include the world’s first multifunction product (MFP) with erasable toner, the e-STUDIO™306LP/RD30 as well as the company’s other EPEAT-registered MFPs – to better allow Toshiba dealers and customers to operate more sustainably. EPEAT is the definitive global rating system for greener electronics.
“For nearly a decade, Tom has established and maintained outstanding relationships on both the vendor and dealer side to successfully manage Toshiba’s aftermarket product and service programs,” said Toshiba America Business Solutions, President and Chief Executive Officer, Scott Maccabe. “Within his expanded role, we expect him to continue that success while creating additional programs to further bolster our thermal barcode printer and toner revenue.”
Prior to joining Toshiba in 2005 as the company’s director, aftermarket sales, marketing and operations, Walter served in management positions at Parts Now, Panasonic and Canon USA, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from California State University, Long Beach.
