Dec. 19, 2014 – Marco, Inc. is pleased to announce Marco engineers Clay Ostlund and Nick Thompson completed their Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification in Brussels, Belgium. This designation is accepted worldwide as the most prestigious networking certification in the industry. Network engineers holding an active Cisco CCIE certification are recognized for their expert network engineering skills and mastery of Cisco products and solutions. Through a rigorous written exam and a performance based lab, the CCIE program sets the standard for internetworking expertise.
Ostlund began at Marco in 2006 as a systems engineer and is currently the sales engineering manager. He has over 10 years of experience in the IT industry. Thompson is a senior network engineer with 17 years of experience in the IT industry and has been with Marco since 2011.
Cisco introduced the CCIE certification in 1993 to assist the industry in distinguishing the top internetworking experts worldwide. Today CCIE certification holders represent less than three percent of all certified Cisco professionals and less than one percent of networking professionals worldwide. Marco specializes in business IT services, cloud/hosted services, managed services, carrier services, copiers/printers, phone systems, document management and audio/video systems.
