Sanford, NC, October 30, 2014 – Static Control and its exclusive distributor for Japan, Hara Trading Company, recently spoke at a seminar sponsored by The Association of Japanese Cartridge Remanufacturers (AJCR). The event was held October 15 in Nagoya, Japan and was attended by more than 50 remanufacturers.
Juan Carlos Bonell, Static Control’s vice president of distributor sales, spoke to the group about remanufacturing trends across the globe and provided an update on patent legal actions. In particular, Canon’s recent victory in Korea regarding OPC drums was of interest to those in attendance. Hara Trading’s Director of Business Development Taka Emori moderated and translated the seminar.
“Trade organizations like the AJCR are vital to the industry, as we can work together to focus on the benefits of genuine remanufacturing,” said Emori. “These events are helpful so that we are all on the same page as far as where the industry has been, where it is going and how to expand our business.”
Bonell agreed. “These seminars help keep remanufacturers aware of the many legal actions taking place around the world. It reiterates our point that genuine remanufacturing is the only way for long-term success in this industry. We showcase how it is not worth the risk to your business to deal with clone cartridges.”
This is the second event sponsored by the AJCR this year that featured Bonell as a guest presenter. He spoke at the group’s May event in Tokyo.
