Oct. 10, 2014 – Print-Rite appears in an LED display at U.S. Times Square with a new corporate driving message, ‘Our innovation, Your success!’ Along with the elements of innovation and being green, Print-Rite is now employing a new way to tell its brand story and its core corporate value of innovation. Print-Rite is the only aftermarket manufacturer that has twice showcased its message in Time Square.
Print-Rite is one of the largest and most established aftermarket imaging product manufacturers in the world. With more than 30 years of experience, Print-Rite’s pioneering R&D has kept it in the vanguard of the industry’s innovators. Sales of Print-Rite products reach more than 120 countries. As of September 2014, more than 2,200 patents have been registered worldwide.
18 years of insistence on innovation and patent stays off disputes
There are many disputes over patent infringement in the aftermarket printer consumables industry. Recently, in an alleged case with Canon, Print-Rite resolved the case in a prompt and professional manner with a strong understanding and respect on intellectual property.
Print-Rite annually spends $50-million in RMB and R&D, consisting of specialists in patent development and engineers. As of September 2014, more than 2,200 patents are registered worldwide. Print-Rite has also been honored as ‘The Biggest Patent Portfolio’ among all aftermarket manufacturers and ‘2013 Chinese Patent Award of Excellence’ by State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C. . Print-Rite is the only aftermarket manufacturer to receive those high-level awards.
Print-Rite products reach the globe
Owing to a huge economic loss from patent lawsuits, the market is highly sensitive to the issue of patent. The Print-Rite NoTwist gear mechanism is available to the US market without any patent issues. This news has been embraced by the industry because of Print-Rite’s leading position in patent assurance. During REMAX 2014, Print-Rite will launch a PR-2 product range, providing greater patent assurance to the market. Greater patent assurance can help reduce patent infringement disputes.
About Section 337
Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 prohibits unfair acts and unfair methods of competition involving imports, and provides that the importation or sale of infringing goods in the United States is unlawful. The Omnibus Trade and Competitiveness Act of 1988 (the Act) amended Section 337 to make it easier and less expensive for domestic industries to prove a violation of Section 337 by showing that imported articles have infringed their U.S. patents and other federally registered intellectual property (IP) rights like trademarks or copyrights.
