This week’s merger and acquisition roundup offers up a trio of deals, with UBEO Business Services announcing its second acquisition in as many weeks in obtaining fellow Austin, Texas-based firm Rainmaker Document Technologies.
Also in the mix this week is Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based Higher Information Group, which acquired Office Equipment Source of Elmira, New York. In another deal, The Golden Ruler of Hannibal, Missouri, purchased The Business Centre of Quincy in Illinois.

Higher Information Group Obtains Office Equipment Source
Prosperity Plus Management Consulting Inc. announced that Office Equipment Source (OES) has been acquired by Higher Information Group LLC. Prosperity Plus acted as an advisor to Mike, Gina and Drew Mitchell throughout the transaction.
OES is a family-owned technology company based in Elmira, New York servicing several counties in upstate New York and northeastern Pennsylvania.

The acquisition extends HIG’s presence – spanning from the southern border of south-central Pennsylvania and east to Philadelphia and to the north-central border of Pennsylvania to central New York and beyond.

The Golden Ruler Adds The Business Centre of Quincy
Mike Dudek and Rich Wisniewski of Zygoquest Group served as the advisor to The Business Centre of Quincy Inc., and its owner, Lyndle Wedding, on the sale of its capital stock to Rex Hicks and Lesley Hicks, the owners of The Golden Ruler Inc. The terms of the transaction are confidential.
The Business Centre of Quincy, located in Quincy, Illinois, was owned and operated by Wedding. A full-line authorized Savin dealer, the company also sold and serviced MBM paper shredders and finishing products. The Business Centre of Quincy provided office equipment and document solutions and services to customers located in Western Illinois, Northeast Missouri and Southeast Iowa.
Rex and Lesley Hicks own and operate The Golden Ruler Inc., a full-line authorized Lanier dealer headquartered in Hannibal, Missouri. The Golden Ruler provides office equipment and service throughout Missouri, Illinois and Iowa. The company also sells office furniture and supplies, technology solutions, and facility and breakroom supplies.
