Streamlining Business Processes

Thomas Schneck

As a document management developer, we believe that the most relevant trends which will drive our business in 2012 will be our customers’ need to further streamline their business processes, their desire to provide document access to the increasing number of mobile knowledge worker and the option to outsource their document management in order to focus on their core competencies.

New products from DocuWare centered on workflow, support of mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets, as well as an enhanced SaaS offering are positioned to take full advantage of these customer trends. Therefore, we are very optimistic for 2012.

The general challenge for the business community and for our industry will be to ignore the background noise regarding the economic situation which sometimes can have a paralyzing effect.  We strongly believe that especially right now, during these timid times, is a great opportunity to invest strongly and build a competitive edge.

We at DocuWare have almost doubled our sales force in the last six months to take full advantage of the opportunities ahead. This gives us the possibility to cooperate with our channel partners even more intensively. We will continue to support them with our field personnel and various training and marketing programs to help them differentiate their hardware offering with document management. By doing so, they will achieve higher margins build up their professional services revenue and a recurring revenue stream.

In 2012 we will also see that more and more MPS engagements will reach a level of maturity, which allows for the introduction of document management into the customer conversation. We are excited to help our channel partners with a powerful ROI calculator that clearly shows a transition from the benefits of an optimized business process to the payoffs of a streamlined document workflow.
